In 2018, the KC Chamber came to us with a huge problem. 1 in 3 children starting Kindergarten weren’t prepared – setting themselves, and the city, up for a lifetime of failure. To begin to fix the problem, we first needed to wake everyone up to it.
Next, we got to work ensuring all kids had access to quality early learning. But since we couldn’t go and enroll every child into pre-school, we turned the city into a preschool.
By encouraging busy parents to see the city all around them a little differently, everyday places became opportunities for learning. And Kansas City landmarks became lessons.
And all of it became a huge game with a poster that allowed kids to show off the lessons they completed.
